Elaine Margaret Sima

Elaine was born on September 18, 1937 in Calgary. She married the love of her life, Joe Sima on May 5, 1956. Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lynn and Richard (Janet); grandchildren Nick, Holly, Amy (Lucas); and great-grandson, Sonny-Wells. Elaine created many cherished memories with family and friends.

Elaine was blessed with a strong and resilient spirit and a contagious sense of humor.

Having had many diverse talents and interests such as baking, sewing, knitting, drumming, camping, casino trips, watching NASCAR races and hockey, it allowed her the opportunity to connect with many others.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband Joe, brother Don, father Victor and mother Rose.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service and Visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Parish (1100 Berkshire Boulevard NW, Calgary) on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Luxbacher officiating.

Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
