Emma Katherine Gibson passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on September 11, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Emma is lovingly remembered by, Carol (Bill) Hawthorne, granddaughters; Deann (Pat) Lehouillier, Donna (Pat) Lennon, Lori (Dale) Willoughby, great-grandchildren Ray, Matt and Cam Lehouillier. Step grandchildren; Debbie (Brian) Kelly, Tracey (Rick) Rogerson, Gail Eggen. Step great-grandchildren; Michael and Dawn Kelly, Laryssa, Jared, and BJ Rogerson and Hayden Eggen as well as numerous relatives and friends. Emma was predeceased by her husband Cecil in 1982.
Emma was born in Leader, Saskatchewan. Emma met and married Cecil Gibson during the war years. After the war they farmed in the Acadia Valley area before retiring to Calgary in 1974.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
