Eva Lentz was the youngest of 9 children, and basically grew up with her nieces and nephews, who still call her Aunt Eva! She grew up in the Medicine Hat area then moved to Calgary after marrying Ed Muegge in 1945.
Daughters Bernice, Beverley and Beth came along over the next 15 years. Eva did whatever was necessary, alongside Ed, to provide for their family, who lived in the Renfrew district for about 50 years. During 30 of those years, Eva sold Avon. She also babysat, took in boarders and foster children. Eva was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, now Abundant Life Church. Eva along with Ed volunteered a day a week for over 20 years at a children’s Bible study program called UB David & I’ll be Jonathan.
A couple of years after Ed died in 1994, Eva moved to Monterrey Villas and was very actively involved in that community. Because of some health issues, she moved into Trinity Lodge where she loved participating in the activities. Eva’s last 4 ½ years were spent at George Boyack Long Term Care and her family all appreciate the wonderful care provided for her there.
Eva was predeceased by her husband and her siblings. She is survived by daughters: Bernice (Ken) Baher, Bev (Vic) Delamont, all of Calgary and Beth (Owen) Brown from Prince George, BC. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Donna (Steve) Porter, Edward (Marta) Baher, Darryl (Tamara) Delamont, Kari (Cory) Eliuk, David Delamont, Jon (Erin) Delamont, Matthew Brown and Nevin Brown. She also has 14 great grandchildren: Julie and Colin Porter, Adrianna, Michelle and Naomi Baher, Allison, Erik and Hannah Delamont, Hadden, Lachlan, Asher and Arwen Eliuk, and Elise and Laurenne Delamont.
