She was born August 23, 1926, in Lampman, SK, to Erwell and Mildred. She graduated from Estevan Collegiate and went to nursing school at Regina General Hospital. Mom worked as a RN for many years in both Regina, SK, and Calgary, AB. She retired in 1988.
Mom enjoyed many activities by joining a Seniors Club after retirement. Mom and Dad also square danced for many years and were able to enjoy many winter vacations.
Jewell is lovingly remembered by her darling daughters Dianne McMurray of Regina, SK, and Karen McMurray (Don Glasrud) of Kimberley, BC; grandchildren Caroline Beyer, Patricia Jane (Philip), and Geoff Beyer (Shawna Doucette); great-grandchildren Michael, Alissa, Dylan, Anthony, Kaitlyn, Jessica and Mathew; and great-great-granddaughter Bridget. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her grand-dog Baxter.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Jim McMurray, brothers Leland and Reagh, and great-granddaughter Amanda.
