Flora Consuelo Wong passed away unexpectedly in Calgary, AB on Monday, October 12, 2026 at the age of 66 years old. Flora was born on March 12, 1960 in Lima, Peru. She is the third born of Mr. Jorge Chip Wong and Mrs. Flora Wai-Chu Wong. Flora immigrated to Canada in 1977 and settled in Calgary, Alberta.
Her long career in the hospitality industry was a true reflection of her servant heart. Upon retiring, she embraced her inquisitive, adventurous, and curious spirit, traveling the world, attending BTS concerts, and delighting in new food flavours. At home, she found joy in simple pleasures like reading, puzzles, math, sewing, colouring, and building Lego, always making cherished memories with her family.
She lived out her faith in God through her actions, compassionately helping care for her mother in her later years. We will always fondly remember her beautiful smile that brightened every room, her easy manner, and her unique ability to bring joy to others. She looked at the world with wonder and awe, and the goodness of her soul resonates deeply within our memories.
Flora is lovingly remembered and survived by her four siblings Jorge II, Maria (Anthony), Francisco and Carmen; her nieces and nephew Andrea (Luke), Joni (Thomas), Jorge III (Kristine), and Sheila (Miguel); and eight grand nieces and nephews Lylah, Makena, Anessa, Julian, Toby, Naomi, Theo, and Emmi.
