Florence Lillian Hughes passed away peacefully at the Newport Harbour Care Centre on Monday, March 27, 2006 at the age of 80 years.
Florence is lovingly remembered by her four sons Alan (Gill), Pat (Kerry), Steve, Kevin (Tannis); nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard, parents John and Elsie Gray, step father Art Christensen and daughter-in-law Karen Hughes.
Florence was a native Calgarian, long time resident of Chestermere Lake and a member of the Chestermere Whitecappers. A special thank you to Dr. Charlene Dunn and Dr. Joyce Wong, the staff at the Peter Lougheed Hospital and Newport Harbour Care Centre.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Burrill officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7.
