My most sincere condolences to you, Lianne, and all the Clifford family....I met Frank and Lianne while Frank worked as Plant Manager for Phoenix Press....My father and myself benefited greatly from Frank's expertise while working for us...I have fond memories of Frank's humour and times spent at company and printing industry functions with both Frank and Lianne....Fun and great sense of humour come to mind when I think of Frank....I have thought of both of you often and wondered where his life led him....Compassion for his family, honesty, and a carefree look on life made him a pleasure to share both work and social times with.....I am deeply saddened by his passing, but I know that he and my dad are sitting somewhere laughing about times had together....and how the printing industry led them to paths crossed....My heart goes out to you and your family....

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Clifford.  I recently read his essay, The End of the Colorado in the book Written in Water, published by National Geogrpahic. I use the essay in my unit on water in my environmental class.  I wanted to add a few more images of the Cucapa Indians fishing for corvina.  I was looking for more articles written by Mr. Clifford when I came across the obituary.  I'm glad to know he lived a long life and am sorry I won't be able to read new articles by him. Uncle Frank truly had "the spark".....a twinkle in his eye, that expressed care and concern mixed with a good dash of humour and incredible wit. To the whole extended Clifford Family: I met Frank SR as a teen aged friend of Frank JR . He was a calm and fair man and said it like it was . I learned over the years that he was not a man to waste his words so you better listen when he spoke because it was usually important and wise.I moved away in the late 80's and often when I came home I would visit looking for FR Jr.He and Lianne always stopped what they were doing and chatted and I really enjoyed that. From all of my family to yours all our best wishes are with you in your time of grief .Please try a cherish all the memories and remember how special Gram pa Frank was to all your family .

While growing up in my younger years there were times that I did not have much of a father figure and  Frank took me into his family just like I was one of his boys.
