He will forever be sorely missed by his children and grandchildren: Mirella, Cris, Rick and Diana.
He has left this world to reunite with his one true love, his wife Angelina. Not a day went by since her passing 13 years ago that he didn’t kiss her photo goodnight and tell her he missed her and loved her. They shared a rare and heartwarming love; now they can be forever together again.
Guy was a kind, gentle soul, a simple man who above all enjoyed spending time with his family, regaling stories from the old country and from his younger years. He enjoyed and was proud of his 35 year career with CP Rail, especially when he could bring his family to his work place during the annual open house. He was our tour guide extraordinaire. He was so proud to introduce us to all of his co-workers and quite proud to show off his family.
Guy was an avid fisherman and hunter and he loved sports especially hockey. He was also very skilled, put some nails and a hammer in his hand and he could build anything. He took extreme pride in his greenhouse and garden often growing so much more than he needed that he would send bags and bags of fresh grown vegetables to family and friends. It gave him so much joy to be able to share the fruits of his labour with people. He was very creative in the kitchen too. Boy could he cook. He would whip up a batch of fresh handmade pasta from scratch or his signature “amalette” like nobody’s business. But his real pleasure and pride was watching us eat it all up, his smile went from ear to ear. “See, I tolla you; itza good eh?”
He loved to have fun, had a great sense of humour and most often was the life of the party.
Our dearest Papa and Nonno, we will miss you so very much. You have given us the opportunity to share in your life. Your presence, strength and undying love for us will live on forever in our hearts. We love you, today, tomorrow and forever!!
Adesso caro Papa e Nonno, riposo in pace nella braccia del Signore
