Gamque Tam Jin

November 12, 1919 – September 24, 2012

Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age of 92. Born in Hoyping, Kwangtung, China, she immigrated to Canada in 1956. She was a tower of strength to her family and was instrumental in moving the entire four generations of family members from Newfoundland to Calgary in 1968. She helped her late husband, Wing Jin, manage various business ventures in Canada. She is survived by her four children Higgin, Ricky, Pearl and Peggy; daughters-in-law Susan Jin, Karen Jin; sons-in-law Michael Feng, Simon Szeto; grandchildren Edward, Andrew and Manda Lam, Dave and Juan Huang, Donna and Lloyd Lam, Remo and Olivia Kwong, Jessica Szeto, Gillian Szeto, Gregory Feng; and great grandchildren Owen, Daniel, Katlynn Lam, Leah Lam, and Roxanna. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, September 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Friday, September 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Saturday September 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
