George Ambrose

February 01, 1917 – July 12, 2012

George Ambrose passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the age of 95 years. George is lovingly remembered by his sons Hilluary (Sally), Elgin and Russell (Julie); daughter Janice (Jim); five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of sixty-nine years, Eunice in 2010 and his daughter Sharon in 1947. George served in the Army and was overseas during WWII. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Care Centre Chapel, 916 – 18A Street N.W., Calgary on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Marilyn Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Bethany Care Foundation, 1001 – 17 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 2E5.
