Giovanni “Johnny” Busetto passed away peacefully in Calgary on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the age of 90 years. He will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years Dolores, father Augusto, mother Pasqua and sister Elma. Johnny is survived by his two brothers Guiseppe (Cecilia) and Ardiuno (Rosanna); many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Johnny was born in Venice, Italy and grew up in Tartinis and along with his brother Joe he immigrated to Canada in 1954. They landed in Halifax and eventually he made his way to Calgary, where met the love of his life Dolores who he married on November 27, 1957.
Johnny had a distinguished career at Canadian Pacific Railway as a Crane Operator, where he worked until he retired. He was also a valuable asset to the business of his brother (Joe and wife Cecilia) where he used his many talents. Johnny had many interests which included a world of electronics and enjoyed fishing with his family. Always the consummate professional in all that he did.
At his request there will be no formal service.
