It is with profound sadness and deep love that the family of Gloria Donna-Marie Parent (née Albiston) announces her peaceful passing on October 11, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on April 6, 1937, Gloria lived a life defined by faith, family, kindness, and devotion to those she loved. She was a cherished wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth, strength, and generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took immense pride in watching it grow through the generations.

Gloria shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gilbert Parent. Together they built a life founded on love, commitment, faith, and family, creating a home where all were welcomed and cherished.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Gilbert Parent; her children, Sandra Greer (Murray), Mark Parent (Lori), Sharon Lacas (James), and Kevin Parent (Stefania); 13 cherished grandchildren, 10 beloved great-grandchildren, and one treasured great-great-grandchild. She will also be lovingly remembered by her extended family, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Gloria will be remembered for her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, unwavering faith, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel loved and valued, and her wisdom, encouragement, and sense of family will remain a lasting legacy for generations to come.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1600 Acadia Drive SE, Calgary, Alberta, on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in prayer, remembrance, and thanksgiving for Gloria's life.

Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
