Gordon was born on February 29, 1928 in Calgary, AB and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marian, in 2007 and grandson, Kevin Boutilier, in 2013. Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are his five children, Sandra (Al) Kazakoff, Barbara Boutilier, Linda (Brad) Beesley, Gordon (Denise) Blow, Bill (Joanne) Blow; as well as eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to The Palliative Care Unit 47 at Foothills Hospital for the care and compassion given to Gordon and his family. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Society, 710, 10123 – 99 Street N.W., Edmonton, Alberta T5J 3H1.
