Gordon was a son, brother, husband, and father. He was an independent spirit who lived by his own rules and refused to conform to expectations outside of his personal ideologies. Though he was born in Victoria, BC, Gordon spent the majority of his youth in Calgary, where he met his former spouse, Pattie. Once married in 1973, they moved to Airdrie to start a business and a family. Gordon dabbled in a few entrepreneurial endeavours before finding success as an established automotive parts supplier.
As a young father, Gordon enjoyed taking his kids camping, working in the garden, and being a reliable source of laughter. He was a lover of dogs, music, and sports, and he enjoyed spending his free time hunting for a good deal or a unique find. Later in life, he was most content in his home, working with his hands on a collection of projects.
Gordon is survived by his daughter Katelyn (Chris); companion Pattie; sister Lorraine (Mark); brother Ron; and his niece and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Wesley and parents Ed and Mabel.
A Private Cremation Service will be held.
