Harold Swanson passed away in Calgary at the age of 87 years. He was born April 29, 1924 at home on the farm near Sedgewick, Alberta. Harold is lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia Swanson, his son, James Gilbert Swanson and his daughter, Harlene Patricia Swanson. He is also survived by his siblings Gladys Christenson (Tormad), Norma Hogstead (Alfred), Clarence Swanson (Shirley) and Olga Thompson (Emil); his 7 grand children, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother Ralph and sister-in-law Louise.
Harold worked in construction at Standard General for 29 years, Bud Brothers for 5 years and was with Union Tractor until retirement.
A Celebration of Life will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South, (at Lake Fraser Gate) Calgary on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
