Harry is survived by his wife Lai Ha; sister May (Ted); brother Frank (May); children Shirley, Betty (Art), Ken (Deb), Benn (Sonya), Mary (Peter), and Mabel (Mike); nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by Mui Fong Leong and his parents, Dick and Fon Kue. Born in Canton, China, Harry emigrated to Canada in December 1951; attended school and worked in Three Hills and Calgary, AB. He retired from the CBE in 1990 and dutifully served the Leong Chong How Tong and Chinese community for many years.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
