Hugh was born in Edmonton, AB. He was raised in Ottawa, but returned to Alberta after school.
Hugh is survived by his wife Greta of 45 years, his daughters Megan (Dave) and Andrea (Bal), a sister Karen (Darci), and his beloved grandsons Cruz and Rio.
He is predeceased by his parents Ken and Pearl, sister Marilyn and infant son Jason.
After retiring from AHS, he enjoyed golfing and curling. He also loved travelling, including many cruises, trips to Las Vegas, Mexico, Hawaii, Italy and Australia.
A celebration of Hugh’s life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at the Tom Baker Cancer who treated Hugh during his illness.
