Irene Elizabeth Herrick (Hanczik) passed away peacefully in Calgary on Saturday January 24, 2015. Irene was born in Bentley and raised near Eckville. Irene and her husband of 61 years, Donald Alexander Herrick lived in Sylvan Lake and moved to Calgary in 1965. Irene was a long time employee of Eaton’s. She is survived by Don and a loving family including her daughters Patricia Way (Richard) of Calgary and Sharon Campbell (Neil) of Nanaimo BC; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Bradley), Daniel (Meghan), Graham and Heather; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander and April. A service in thanksgiving for Irene’s life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 4th Street NW., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday January 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM.
