Isabel was born and raised in Oxbow, Saskatchewan where she spent her formative years growing up on her family’s farm. These early years left an indelible impression on her, helping to create a strong, independent, hard working woman who eagerly took on any and all of life’s challenges.
While raising her own family, she was also employed for many years working with handicapped children within a private institution, as well as the Calgary Board of Education. After retiring, her entrepreneurial spirit lead to self-employment where she made many life-long friends amongst her clients.
Isabel will sadly be missed by her entire family including her children Michelle Kittelson, Jeanette Wilson and James Wilson. She was predeceased by her oldest son, Michael Wilson.
Her especially close relationship to her granddaughter Casey-Lee Wilson, was one of her life’s greatest joys. They shared a special bond that was hard to describe, but unique and beautiful to watch through the years. The love and laughs she shared with her two grandsons Dennis Kittelson and Jesse Kittelson meant there was never a dull moment while they were all in the same room together.
In what she would describe as an already rich life, she was blessed yet again in her later years, with two great grandchildren, Axel & Ayla Shields. The new babies of the family brought her more light, love and laughter than even she would have thought possible.
