John is lovingly remembered by his sister, Joyce Fredlund of Lethbridge, his nieces, Stephanie Mercredi of Calgary, Barbara Mercred of Kelowna, and Cheryl Leonardi (Dario) of Calgary; as well as his great nephews and niece, Jordan Hasanat, Kyra Leonardi, Carter Leonardi, Masen Leonardi, and Spencer Leonardi.
John was predeceased by his father, Arnold Fredlund; his mother, Dorothy Brett, and his sister, Marilyn Mercredi.
John will be remembered for his inappropriate humour, kindness, and love of travel, cooking, Harley Davidson’s, and music. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held this summer, with details to be shared with family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Alberta Children’s Hospital (Calgary).
