John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Delores, his children; Daryl (Pam) Stratichuk and Laureen (Wade) Vienneau, his grandchildren; Janny (Steven Simmons) Stratichuk, Jesse (Kelsey Patrick) Stratichuk, Ashley (Jill) Murakami and Lisa Vienneau, and his three great-grandchildren; Dylan, Lena and Finley Murakami.
John is also survived by numerous extended family members. John was predeceased by his parents; Alex and Dora, and his siblings; Anne, Nick, Jean and Steve.
Our heartfelt thanks to the South Health Campus emergency room staff and to the amazing and caring staff at Age Care Midnapore, where John and Delores lived for the past year.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at South Calgary Funeral Centre. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 1:00 p.m. at South Calgary Funeral Centre.
