Josef Vogrincic, our father and our rock passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 8:30 p.m. in the presence of his family in his own home. He fought a valiant five year battle with cancer.

Josef was born in Topolovici, Slovenia on March 22, 1946. He came to Canada at the age seventeen determined to make a better life. With his wife, Emilija, by his side Josef operated a custom home company and bought properties. He loved life and always had a smile on his face, singing Slovenian songs and joking with family and friends. Josef had a love of fishing, his beautiful apple trees, and his grandchildren.

Josef will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Wendy Vogrincic (Nicholas Broskovich) and Diana (Mario) Signorile; grandchildren Nicholas and Marina Broskovich and Lorenzo and Adrian Signorile. He was is also survived by his sisters Vereca and Micka of Slovenia. Josef was predeceased by his wife, Emilija. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Canadian Cancer Society

A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

With our Deepest Sympathy to Wendy and family /Diana and family.Losing someone who is loved soooo much is life greatest sadness.But although they are no longer with you ,may you always find them in your heart.Your parents were very Special to our family.We are honoured and blessed to know Joe/Emilija. They were a true blessing in our lives. We will surely miss them.Life is the greatest gift that God has given us ,death is only a bridge towards eternal life with God.Certainly heaven is rejoicing for another angel has finally reached his true home.
