Joyce Arelene Gramson

Joyce A. Gramson passed away peacefully after a long battle with lung disease at the Clifton Manor Nursing Facility on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the age of 78 years.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jeannie (Dale) Wardrop; sons Sidney Holmes and Lorne Holmes, as well as daughters of the heart Joadey Jacksen and Ronaye (Kurly) Lengstaff. Her legacy includes her ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a large extended family. Joyce is also survived by her sister Angie (Sandy) Kanash of Lethbridge. She will be especially missed by her lifelong friend Mildred (Millie) Flude. Joyce is once again in the loving arms of her soul mate and husband Earni Gramson. She is also predeceased by her mother Mildred Sanderson and sisters Darlene Sanderson, Evelyn Vogul and Sharon Jackson. A loving mother and wife, Joyce was a force to behold, her infectious smile and laughter endearing her to friends across the globe. Her presence will be greatly felt by all who were blessed to call her mother, grandmother and friend. A special thank you is extended to her granddaughters, her cousin Colin Campbell and Dr. Graham Hunter for all their love and support.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to STARS Air Ambulance, 1441 Aviation Park N.E., Box 570 Calgary, AB T2E 8M7.
