Joyce Alice Wohlgemuth

Mom leaves behind her daughters Debbie (Alen), Judy, Cindy (Rob), grandchildren David, Katie, Kyle, Jason, Ryan and Jeff and great grandchildren Rylan, Kenyon, Tye, Parker, Cohen, Arjay, Shayne and Hailey. She also leaves behind her sisters in law, Adeline and Kathy (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Dave and 2 infant children, Wendy and Davy.

Mom was born on June 26, 1931, in Calgary. Mom and Dad spent many years as loyal members of the Greater Forest Lawn Seniors and danced their hearts out with the Western Whirler square dancers. They also volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels. They met life’s challenges head on and faced each one with grace and resilience.

Special thanks to Mom’s amazing care team including Dr. Kunneman, Dr. Vitale and his team and most recently Dr Schaefer and the palliative care team at the Foothills Hospital, as well as Dr Tina Hoang and the team at Chinook Hospice where Mom spent her final weeks. This journey was made a little easier by her HCA angel, Delores.

We will miss Mom tremendously but are comforted to know she is at peace and with Dad as that was always her wish. Keep that smile going and know that you were the best Mom ever.
