Judy Barnes

Judy was born on July 12, 1950 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA. She was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Arthur Brown. Judy is survived by her loving husband, John Peter Barnes; as well as her three sons, John (Linda), Darren (Jodi) and Ryan (Amy); as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Judy worked for almost 30 years as a Shipping/Receiving Lead/Supervisor with Sears Canada, where she made many friends and mentored numerous young adults who were new to the workforce. She loved all sports and spent many chilly mornings in various arenas cheering on her sons, who all played hockey and lacrosse. She was also passionate about gaming on her iPad, and crocheting.

Judy was a reserved individual who loved the company of others. She had a wonderful sense of humour and her friends loved to be with her. There will be a Celebration of Life at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 2:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m. In keeping with Judy's wishes, please dress casually.
