June Marion Good

June was born in Peterborough, Ontario on April 4, 1936 to parents Elizabeth Marion Hopcroft and Francis Ernest Smith. She lost her parents early in her life and always missed them dearly.

Being an only child, June decided that more was better and went on to raise 5 children. June moved west in 1976 with her family to Calgary and then to Cochrane. She enjoyed spending time with her ever growing family, including time with her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. June valued time with her lifelong friends and the many new friends she made along the way.

Along with raising her children, writing short stories and poetry, June worked hard all her life. She cooked in restaurants and provided kind-hearted care for seniors in assisted living. Retirement was June’s favorite career.

June has left the world a great legacy and will be deeply missed by many.

June’s Celebration of Life will be held at Fosters Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

Interment: St. Peter’s Cemetery in Peterborough, Ontario.
