Karen was a sassy, funny, and creative woman who brought light and laughter to everyone who knew her.
Karen had a deep connection to both spirituality and her Catholic roots, which guided her through life's joys and challenges. Her passion for the piano, the arts, health and wellness was central to who she was. These passions are a testament to her longevity and vitality through her diagnosis.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Alena and her loving partner Jai, who will miss her deeply. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of friendships from her time in Point Roberts, Calgary, and her upbringing in California.
While we mourn her loss here, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her sister, parents, son, and the many quirky pets she adored over the years.
Mom, you were a force of nature, a light in so many lives, and an example of authenticity and creativity. You are loved beyond measure, and will be missed beyond words.
