Mr. Karl Schulmeister

1929 - 2004

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karl Schulmeister, beloved husband for over 50 years of Annemarie. He ended his lengthy battle with PSP on June 27, 2004, at the age of 74 years. Karl was born on August 25, 1929, in what was then Yugoslavia. In 1953 he immigrated to Canada, where he and Annemarie were married. Together they provided a stable, loving home for their three children. Karl was an extremely hardworking and honest man, and operated his own construction company for many years. He and Annemarie enjoyed several years of traveling together in retirement, before his illness made this too difficult. Besides his loving wife, Karl will be sadly missed by his children, Bernie (Brenda) Schulmeister, Lori (Robert) Montanini, and Derek (Susan) Schulmeister. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Lisa, Kristen and Mark Montanini, Melanie, Anthony, and Terri-Ann Schulmeister, and Danielle and Matthew Schulmeister and special adopted granddaughter, Joyce. They will miss their grandfather. He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Theresia Schulmeister.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayer Services at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1923 Broadview Road NW, Calgary on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Gregory Roetker, SAC, Celebrant.
