Karolyn Dell (Stewart) Jones

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother (GG), Karolyn Dell Jones (Stewart) on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 92. Karolyn, known to many as Kay, was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward “Smokey” Jones.

Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Wendy (Nigel), Blaine, Dale (Tracey), and Darryl (Judy), as well as grandchildren Kerry (Kate), Emily (Zach), Dylan, Lindsey (Loïc), Courtney, Brendan and Tyson. Her most recent loves, her great-grandchildren, Owen, Mia and Lainey, brought her such joy and happiness. A special mention to Kim and Stacy, who loved Mom dearly.

Karolyn was known as Queen of the Stewart Clan (although not her favourite accolade), and has now joined her siblings Eldon, Jean, Ira, Arthur and Glen, as well as her parents Nelson and Helen.

Everyone who knew or met Kay commented on what a lovely lady she was, so kind, sweet, caring and unassuming, but she certainly had a quiet strength about her which we all admired greatly. She will be dearly missed by all.

A private celebration of life with her family will take place at a later date. Mom will be interred at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal, beside her beloved Smokey.
