April 26, 1944 – October 20, 2017
Ken was born on April 26th 1944 in Newfoundland to Mr. & Mrs. Walter & Ethel Belbin. He was a younger brother to Joyce (Snow) of Bradford, Ontario and Dorothy (Foster) of Cranbrook, BC. The Belbin family moved to Montreal, Quebec when Ken was two years old. He met and married Audrey, (Proudlock), in May 1967, and they raised two children; Shelley Thunberg (Doug) and Greg (Debbie). Ken was transferred with Canadian Pacific Railway in 1975 to Calgary AB. Ken took early retirement in 1995. He was a man of Faith and served in many capacities in the church. He volunteered with Samaritan’s Purse several years before his health prevented him from doing so. He loved music, golfing, travelling but most of all he loved his family. Ken leaves behind his treasured grandchildren;
Ashley (Lauren), Chelsea, Carlie and Curtis. In May of this year Ken & Audrey celebrated 50 years of marriage. As a family we will miss his hugs. To honor him today, please remember to hug those you love. A Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220-4 St. N.W. Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness."
