It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and son, Ken Lam. Ken suffered from a short period of undiagnosed mental illness, which very suddenly became acute, after which Ken decided he could no longer live on. Ken passed on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the age of 50 years. Ken leaves behind his heartbroken family whom he loved very much.
Ken was proud of his collection of attack dog videos, fascinated with extreme eating competitions, and had perfected the best pizza ever in his bbq smoker. Ken was a voracious reader and passed his passion of reading to his son.
Ken is survived by his feisty wife, Susan; Lego Master son, Derek; doting parents, Kevin and Christine; and sister, Connie (Jon). You can finally get some sleep, rest in peace Sweetie.
A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Canadian Mental Health Association of Calgary, www.cmha.calgary.ab.ca.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
