Kwok Wah Fung Wong
26 October, 1962 – 20 March, 2021
Kwok Wah Fung Wong (Teresa) was born in Hong Kong on October 26, 1962. She attended Rose Girls School for elementary, and Wellington English College for high school. After she graduated from high school, she worked for McGraw Hill Printing.
In 1983, she came to Canada with her family, and lived in Edmonton, Alberta. Teresa continued her education at Grant MacEwan University, where she studied Accounting. In 1983, Teresa started attending Church, and found her love in Jesus. Shortly after, in 1985, she was baptised. In 1990, Teresa and her family moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she worked for a Property Management Company as an accountant.
In 2008, Teresa married Matthew Wong. They began their journey together as husband and wife. They were incredibly happy together. Teresa also became a stepmom to three stepdaughters, a mother-in-law to 3 sons-in-law, and a grandmother to six beautiful grandsons, which love her very much. She took on these roles flawlessly, providing her new family with so much love and joy.
In April 2017, she was diagnosed with cancer. Her husband, Matthew, took exceptionally good care of her, and fought a strenuous battle alongside her for four years. Although she lost her battle, her strength, and her willingness to fight for her family will stay with us forever. Teresa passed away peacefully on March 20, 2021.
Teresa is a kind, loving and generous person. She has brought so much happiness to people in her life. Teresa’s positive nature, her contagious laughter and her respectful manners will never be forgotten.

Praying for you, Matthew and girls and family. May the Lord fill your heart with His strength as you grieve the loss of Teresa. May the peace of knowing she is finally healed and at home with Jesus give you comfort and may the joy of being reunited with her some day bring you courage for the road ahead. Love and hugs, Eloise

Love you much 五家姐, ....
I’m 嫺嫺, a cousin of Teresa.
I’m the only girl in my family. I always wished to have a big sister and you became “the one”. We’re 9 months apart in age. You had become so important to me in my early childhood.
I looked up to you even to a point I envied you.... your cutest baby face, your hair dos, your outfits. I always whined to mom to get me what you had including a pencil box with Japanese carton girls design (Yes! Those in the 70s). And you knew.... you were so generous and gave me your hair clips with ribbons and beads, pencils, erasers and many more without me asking. I don’t recall I had anything to trade with you, ha.
The sleep overs at 大成大廈, dinner time around the long dining table was like eternity ... I had such a hard time to behave before those adults, lol. I cried once during one of the sleep overs for something, can’t recall the reason. But I would never forget the scene of your embracing arms all over me.... it’s been deeply imprinted.
At one of the weddings you let me borrow one of your beautiful evening gowns. Look at her, she’s beautiful, wasn’t she?
You are always my big sister with a big and loving heart ❤️. Yes, you’re ❤️
I love you 五家姐, always! I’ll continue to press on in the Lord and will meet you again in the New Jerusalem.
