Kyle Donovan Darroch

Our beloved son Kyle passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 41 years of age in Vancouver, BC. Kyle was born in Vancouver on March 12, 1985. He is survived by his Mom Catherine and Father Ken, many cousins, aunts and uncles, and childhood friends. He is predeceased by his loving brothers Liam and Dylan and grandparents.

Kyle, Mom Catherine, and brother Dylan moved to Manitoba when Kyle was five. He spent many happy years with his family and cousins in Manitoba. Family was Kyle’s greatest joy in life.

Kyle spent his early years in Selkirk, Manitoba, formative years of young adulthood in Calgary with his family. Living his remaining years in Vancouver with his biological father.

Kyle loved life in Calgary spending many weekends with Mom and Dad exploring the mountain parks and hiking. Kyle was our sweet, silly mascot on these adventures. He would always make us laugh. He would never miss an outing with us. He loved the animals we would encounter; whether it was a squirrel, mountain sheep or a grizzly. And of course, he loved the post adventure trips for ice cream and treats.

Kyle was a very sweet, kindhearted, gentle person. He had very deep compassion towards others. Kyle was extremely generous to people, whether he knew them or not, giving whatever he had. He figured they needed it more. This is something that he continued to do right until his passing. His actions remind us of the story of the “Widow’s Offering” in the bible. (Mark 12:41-44). She, out of her poverty, gave everything-all she had to live on.

A Memorial Service will be held at the main campus of Centre Street Church, 3900 2 Street NE, Calgary, AB, in the chapel on Friday, October 23rd at 2:00 P.M. Fellowship to follow.
