Lenore Elizabeth Mary Pon

Lenore worked as an administrator at the Red Deer Regional Hospital where she met her best friend and life partner of over 50 years, Kelly. In her retirement, she loved to meet people and could be found offering wine and product tasting throughout the city.

Lenore was insistent that Kelly take dancing lessons, who was hesitant at first as he was afraid that all he had was 2 left feet. As they advanced in classes, she was right as he definitely knew his left foot better than his right. Lenore and Kelly became proficient and went on to being well known as a dance couple. She loved to dress up for Halloween and was awarded twice for best Halloween costume at dances as the Mad Hatter.

They adopted many feline kids throughout the years, with the most recent being 2 feline kids, Leo (a ginger cat) and Kittlynn (a calico diva). It’s no wonder that her favourite cartoon character was Pepe Le Pew as she liked Pepe as a romantic character.

Her passion was cooking but especially baking as she acquired 3 bookshelves of cookbooks. Her family and friends enjoyed receiving her shortbread, ginger and oatmeal cookies with her specialty being the dark chocolate peanut butter crisp balls. However, she enjoyed the simplicity of a peanut butter banana sandwich.

Lenore will always be remembered and sadly missed by all who came to know her and the hearts she so lovingly touched.
