She leaves her husband of 57 years, Brian; their sons, Jeff his wife Carmen and their son Jordan; Dave his wife Denise, their daughter Rachael; Warren his wife Angela; and her daughter Barbara and her partner April.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Audrey (Larry), Pat (Jim) and all her extended family. She was preceded by her brother Wayne and Frank (Lil).
Born in Radway Alberta and raised in Waskatenau, the eldest child of Cyril and Ethel Procter. Lois moved to Edmonton and worked as a Secretary, where she met her future husband Brian. They were married on April 15, 1961. They later moved to Calgary and in 1963 purchased a house on Waskatenau Crescent, where they raised their family and lived until early 2017.
Lois loved having her family around her and used Sunday family dinners as an excuse to get everyone together. It wasn’t until years later that the family discover that she didn’t like cooking, even though she made the best Yorkshire Puddings and gravy.
Lois was devoted to family, community and service.
A Memorial Service will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations being made in Lois’ memory directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, (http://www.heartandstroke.ca/).
