The beloved wife of Harold Harrison, who predeceased her in 2012, she was the devoted mother to five children: Mary, Joan, Carol (deceased), Harold and Monica. Her grandchildren, Angus (Susan), Jessica (Nathan) and Dylan (Ailsa), Kelly (Amanda), Shawn (Kirsten), Brett, Christopher (Nicola), Nicholas, Rebecca, and Pamela (Vlad) will miss her kindness, her unfailing interest in them and her cookie expertise. Her great-grandchildren, Talia, Neil, Theodore, Nikolas, Patrick, Kaia, Sage, Natasha, Kaelyn, Kylie, Francis, Zachary and Leif delighted her and gave her a continuing sense of stewardship and hope for the world's future.
Margaret will also be mourned and remembered by brothers-in-law, Albert and Edgar, and sister-in-law, LaVonne, as well as cherished nieces and nephews and others whose lives touched hers.
Margaret was one of three children of an early Alberta farm family. She grew up in the country and completed her schooling in Calgary. She returned to Calgary when Harold worked in post war construction and, eventually, the hardware business. She was a multi-skilled helpmate, a good old-fashioned mom, and an unselfish and devoted caregiver to her mother, father, brother and husband as they completed their life journeys. She had many talents and never stopped learning.
She was much beloved and will be much missed. Having lived a good, full, and happy life, may she rest in peace.
A family memorial and interment will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
