Margaret E Hiebert

Margaret Esther Hiebert passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Glenmore Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 92 years. She resided at Monterey Place in Calgary, Alberta. Margaret was born on May 26, 1918 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. She was the eldest daughter of three girls born to Elmer and Marie Collier. On the passing of her mother, her father remarried and Margaret became the eldest of a larger extended family. She grew up on a farm in the Swift Current area and upon marrying Peter Hiebert, moved to Calgary and raised three sons: Wayne (Marilyn), Brian (Julie) and Bruce (Barb). Margaret was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and an auntie to many nieces and nephews. Margaret highly valued the strong relationships she had with her family and friends and always made each person feel special. She taught us all to love, share and forgive and enriched the lives of all those around her. Margaret was strengthened by her faith in the Lord and lived her life with love, service and gratitude. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and will always cherish her memory; she will forever be in our hearts! A Funeral Service was held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.fostersgardenchapel.ca
