June was predeceased by her husband Reinhold "Ron" Schmidt in 1999 from cancer, and her second husband Kenneth Nelson in 2016 due to a stroke. She is survived by her daughters; Linda (Harold) and Ruth (Eldon) both of whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by many relatives and dear friends.
June was always a light in this world, no matter what challenges were present. She always counted her blessings and lived life with a joyful heart. She spent her life taking care of others, and found true happiness in always giving, rather than receiving. She was one of a kind, and taught others the true meaning of LOVE.
Those wishing to pay their respects may attend the Funeral Service on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Ray Matheson. At South Calgary Funeral Centre – 12700 Macleod Trail S, Calgary.
A Graveside Service will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens – 1605 100 Street SE, Calgary.
