Marguerite was the beloved wife of Douglas, her husband and companion of 73 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, friendship, and countless cherished memories.
Marguerite and Douglas enjoyed many adventures together, traveling and camping throughout Canada and the United States. They especially enjoyed spending their winters in Hawaii, Arizona, and Delta, BC, creating wonderful memories along the way.
Summers were a special time at the Mabel Lake cabin, where Marguerite enjoyed golfing, gardening, and relaxing with family and friends. These times at the cabin, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the people she loved, were among the many joys of her life.
Marguerite will be sadly missed by her husband, Douglas; her sons, Evan Shier and Rick Shier (Cynthia); her grandchildren, Christine (Carmelo) Misuraca and Michael (Lauren) Shier; and her great-grandchildren, Naomi and Hudson Shier.
She will also be lovingly remembered by Keith (Jill), Gary (Karen), Chris (Moheni) Marten, and Kim (Kathy) Joslin, along with extended family and many friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
Marguerite will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her enjoyment of life, and the many adventures and special moments she shared with those closest to her. Her passing leaves a deep emptiness, but the memories of a life well lived will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marguerite's memory to the charity of your choice.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
