Maria leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years, Cosmo, and her sister Liberina. She is also survived by her children: Filomena Janzen (Milt), Michael Spina, and Roy Spina (Jackie); cherished grandchildren Shawn (Cheri), Nathan (Andrea), Michaela and Edelyn; and great-grandchildren Everly, Rhett, Heath and Gemma.
Maria will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was your typical Italian woman, who found great joy in cooking and feeding family and friends.
Her kindness and love will forever be remembered.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer, 1714 14 Avenue N.E., Calgary, Alberta, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Maria will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum of Queen's Park Cemetery, following the Funeral Mass.
