Marian Gertrude Daniel

November 6, 1929 – February 17, 2018

Marian Daniel passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Marian was born on November 6, 1929 in Calgary, AB, and was the beloved wife of Frank Daniel for over 50 years, before his passing in 2007. She is survived by her son Bill Daniel and his wife Mimi; grandchildren Matthew, Dallas, Josh, and Zach; sister-in-law Shirley Wensink; as well as treasured nieces and nephews, Debbie, Brenda, Joe, Lorrie, and their families. She is predeceased by her brothers Bill and Joe Wensink. Marian was endlessly devoted to her family and friends, and got immeasurable joy from being surrounded by those that she loved. She took pride in her baking, sewing, and cultivating her garden, which she continued to do until her final days. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her. A Celebration of Marian’s life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if memorial donations are made directly to a Multiple Sclerosis charity of one’s choice.
