It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Ann LeGros (nee Maclean). She was born in Vancouver, BC and obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree majoring in Home Economics in 1959 from UBC where she met her husband of 47 years, Larry. Moving to Calgary, AB in 1979, Marion taught Home Economics at Bob Edwards Junior High for 9 years before moving to Ottawa, ON in 1988. Marion and Larry also enjoyed travelling the world and soaking in new experiences. Marion was a devoted mother to three girls and was an accomplished seamstress and cook. In addition to her professional skills and family devotion, she was always a respectful, fair minded and supportive person who people were drawn to. Her connection to family and friends was deep and long lasting. Marion is survived by her three daughters, Denise Chilton (Ted), Diane McDonald (Greg) and Carolyn LeGros (Steve Ryan); five grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Maggie, Harry, Michael and her brother Murray. Marian was predeceased by her husband Larry and brother Angus. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Agecare Midnapore in Calgary. A Memorial Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made directly to Parkinson’s Canada, http://donate.parkinson.ca/inmem.
