Marvin Rowe passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 73. Marvin was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, to his parents, Mabel and John. He is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Jack and Cash; his nephew Weyman; and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Marvin loved reading, playing the guitar, and placing the occasional bet on games and horse races. He had a curious mind and a lifelong love of learning. He was a kind and thoughtful man whose Christian faith remained an important part of his life. He found comfort in reading and studying the Bible.
When Marvin was younger, he learned and carried many traditional and contemporary stories, which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends throughout his life. He once reflected that he had lived a challenging, eventful, and beautiful life, and that he deeply loved his family and friends.
Marvin was predeceased by his parents, Mabel and John; his sister, Penny; and his brothers, Clem and Sidney.
Those who knew Marvin will remember his intelligence, insight, generosity, and kindness. He leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved him. Yet Marvin often spoke about the soul and the hope that one day we will all meet again.
May the Creator welcome Marvin home with love and peace. May our Lord Jesus Christ embrace him with everlasting grace. Until that day when we meet again, may he rest in peace.
