Mary Malejko was born on February 13, 1927, in Belarus. She passed away quickly and peacefully at the Southwood Intercare Center in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the age of 98 years.
Mary was predeceased by her son Adam "Bob" in 2010, her husband Walter in 2012, and her brother Adam Horehlad in 2020. She is survived by her stepsister Margaret Zoldi, daughter Virginia; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and six foster great grandchildren.
Mary will be sadly missed by all that knew her and be remembered for her cooking, gardening, and attending of bingo, amongst her many varied hobbies over the years.
A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A Visitation will be held prior to service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to view the service via livestream may do so using the link provided beneath the service information.
Interment will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
