Matilda Catherine (Ramona) Bertsch passed away suddenly in Okotoks, Alberta on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the age of 96 years. Mom was born into a large loving family in Mortlach, Saskatchewan on November 17, 1927.
Matilda is survived by her daughters Barbara Ann (Frank) Koole and Wilma (Roy) McKay; grandchildren Krista (John) Friesen, Brent (Lindsey) Koole, Shane McKay and Kelly Cochrane as well as nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty Eirich, brothers Carl (Lorraine) Doll and Chris (Verna) Doll; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Matilda is predeceased by her husband Bert, her parents Andrew and Monica Doll, her sisters Eva, Rose Marie, Barbara and Kay, as well as two brothers infancy.
Mom worked part time for 17 years at Hudson Bay cafeteria. She loved to sew, puzzle and garden. She will be missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dennis Catholic Church, 4718 Worcester Dr. SW, Calgary, AB on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
