May was the last of her siblings to pass. She was born in Calgary, the seventh girl of twelve children born to Elizabeth and Alexander McLeod. She had a happy childhood growing up with her siblings in the community of Sunalta where they loved to skate and frolic.
May met the love of her life, Glen in July of 1956, they got engaged in July of 1958 and got married September 26, 1959. May and Glen loved going to Hawaii, Coeur d’Alene, and camping with friends and family at Mara Lake and Radium with their tent, then a tent trailer, and then finally a motorhome.
May worked at Revenue Canada for 45 years and was well respected and liked by her co-workers. She retired shortly after Glen’s passing. May always enjoyed going for a walk at Bowness Park and drives to Bragg Creek with her family right up until the end.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and her favorite little poodle Lucky.
