

Mohinder Jhutti's life journey started on July 15, 1949 in 23H, Rajasthan, India, where he was born to Rakha Singh Jhutti & Gurbachan Kaur Jhutti. After completing his BsC in India he landed in Montreal, Quebec on July 23, 1972 on a student visa. He then quickly moved to the British Columbia area where he started his own construction company. After his time in Vernon, BC, Mohinder came to Calgary, Alberta in 1975. This launched a period which he always called the happiest days of his life. Upon his arrival in Calgary, he started driving taxi cab then travelled back to India to meet his life partner. He married Dalbir Kaur in 1978, at which point they both returned to Canada to start their family. Mohinder was a dedicated family man and took great pride in raising & providing for his family. To fulfill this desire not only did he start his own taxi business but he started dabbling in many different business ventures. He was truly a man of many strengths and magnitudes. Everyone who was privileged enough to meet him was touched in a way that has only changed their lives for the better. Mohinder will be deeply & truly missed by his wife Dalbir, son Jatinderjit Jhutti his wife Rimpy Jhutti; son Sunjit Jhutti his wife Nenu Jhutti; grandchildren Naiya, Angaad, Aliyah & Guroop; his brother & sisters; as well as many other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 1:00p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
