Mona Lisa Lilan Saclamitao

Mona Lisa L. Saclamitao passed away suddenly at the Foothills Hospital on July 19, 2023, at the age of 60. She is survived by her loving family: husband June O. Saclamitao, oldest son Benedict John L. Saclamitao, and youngest son June Jairus L. Saclamitao. She is also remembered by her mother Flaviana M. Lilan, her two surviving brothers Rolando M. Lilan and Marlon M. Lilan, and her sister Lykie M. Lilan in the Philippines, as well as many nephews and nieces.

She is predeceased by her father Reynaldo D. Lilan Senior and her brother Reynaldo M. Lilan Junior.

In her early years Mona Lisa attended Lusat National High School where she would make many of her long-lasting friendships. After high school, she attended Saint Luis College in the Philippines where she achieved her Bachelor's of Science in Accounting. She worked for 25 years as a regional accountant for the Department of Education in the Philippines before gaining her Master's in Business Administration at Lyceum-Northwestern University.

In 1999 she gave birth to her eldest son Benedict John and in 2005 her youngest June Jairus was born. In 2008 she and her family arrived in their new home in Canada to start a new life.

She was a hardworking and loving mother of two balancing her life raising kids and paving a path for her family to have a comfortable life in Canada. She continued her education at Reeves College to eventually gain a diploma in Accounting and Payroll Administration which aided in her ventures of a better life.

She worked hard, stayed strong and was always a loving, accepting and understanding person who cared for anyone she met.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation being held at South Calgary Funeral Centre, 12700 Macleod Trail South, on Thursday July 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at St Albert the Great, 10 Prestwick Drive SE, on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Prairie Sky Cemetery.
