Muriel is survived by five sons: Bob, Gord, Alan (Sue), Stan (Masako), Gary, and son-in-law Tam Tran; 10 grandkids: Drew (Azabelle), Gennie, Amy, Yu-San, Linh-Yan, Bien-Sa, Lien-Ca, Gordie, Caelyn, Tak; one great-granddaughter, Eveline; and three sisters: Lois, Carol, and Donna. She was predeceased by her parents (Arthur and Dorothy Petrie), first husband Donald Kirk (2000), second husband Mervyn Hall (2013), daughter Dorothy Irene Tran (2008), and four brothers and two sisters.
Born June 25, 1929 in Pittsburgh PA, Muriel grew up in Seattle, attended Prairie High School (1947) in Three Hills AB, then Prairie Bible Institute, graduating in 1951. She married Don Kirk in 1952 and spent 46 years on Prairie staff. Moving to Calgary in 2002, she married Mervyn Hall in 2004 at Parkdale Grace Fellowship where she had become a member.
Mom will be remembered for her love of Scripture, prayer and flowers. She looked forward to seeing Jesus. We look forward with certainty to seeing her again in the resurrection.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Parkdale Grace Fellowship, 2608 1st Ave. NW, Calgary on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
