Murray Gunn, beloved son of the late Jim and Marlene Gunn, died suddenly at home in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the age of 61 years. A big-hearted brother and devoted uncle, Murray is survived by his sister Pat Gunn of Calgary; brothers John (Emma) of Kelowna and Barry (Stacey) of Guelph, Ontario; nieces and nephews Erin (Colin), Michaela, Eamon, Ray, Brendan, Ryan and Katie. He will also be mourned by many aunts, uncles and cousins from British Columbia to Manitoba, the USA, Scotland and Ireland. A generous, fun-loving soul, Murray was well-read with a curious mind and he enjoyed a good argument about the state of the world as much as analyzing the state of the Flames or the Stamps over beer and pizza at Stavros. A Celebration of Murray’s Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 ST NW, Calgary, AB on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
The City of Calgary Vaccine Passport Bylaw 65M2021 requires all individuals attending funeral services to provide COVID-19 proof of vaccination, or proof of a privately-paid negative test result taken within 72 hours of service, or documentation of medical exemption.
